NOTE : Interested Questions Bangkok to SiemReap via Poipet Q: Can any one give me some advise on the best way to get to SiemReap from Bangkok and back. Possibly the cheapest but open to suggestions. Also how long does the journey take? and any propblems you may have come across ie border crossing. A: I travelled last week between SIEMREAP and BANGKOK last week by bus and was a lousy journey. It takes 8 hours from SiemReap to the border in a non paved road. The bus had no AC, so we had to travel with the windows open, and got completly dusty! Two days after I found mud in my ears!!!!! From the border to BANGKOK there is no problem at all (3 or 4 hours...). So, if you decide to do it by bus, be sure that it has AC. Even though the road is terrible and you see a lot of cars stoped in the way with flat tires... I had no problem at all at the border (but there where a lot of kids trying to pickpocket you)! Have a good journey Tommy (30August2005) ATM cashpoints in Cambodia hi all - just to let people know there is at least one ATM (cashpoint) in Cambodia. There is a 'Canadia Bank' ATM in Phonm Pehn .
